#228 ~ Same, but different.....

Today at 365 Cards the challenge is to use two papers, same pattern, different color.  Here is my card BUT this was my DH's idea!  I want him to scrapbook all of our family pictures with me - he is very creative and doesn't have a creative hobby - I showed him todays challenge along with some Basic Grey Errie collection and asked him "what would you do?" - he said the paper reminded him of turkey feathers....so based on his idea, this is our card!

Day 227 ~ In Motion

Hi Everyone ~ I don't have a card with anything that moves but I did make a card using CTMH stamp set with a runner....hope that it meets the challenge for a "in motion" card.  Nothing fancy, used the threading water punch, some patterned paper and a heart brad.  This card is for the challenge at 365 cards.

223 ~ shadow

Well I just finished posting todays card and tomorrows challenge is up - since my desk is almost covered with paper and ribbon and more paper ~ thought I would attempt the challenge for day 223 at 365 cards which is to have a shadow on your card.  Well that is a challenge my best attempt is my "shadow"  Copic Marker C1 - cool grey....lol.  I used Tim Holtz distressed ink for the stamps and coloured and added a shadow on the side of the hearts - pretty basic card and it turned out to be a nice thank you card. Thought I would blow the dust off my corner rounder for this one too!

365 Cards challenge is to pick 5 thats it thats all! So I have Bazzill card stock as my base and Basic Grey Erie and some scraps of paper, some ribbon and a big brad from my collection of big brads!I used the MS punch - think it is called gooey to do the layers at the bottom - I stayed with 5.  (as usual my pic is a bit crooked!)

220 ~ In Stitches

In Stitches...would have posted earlier but took me a while to thread the needle!  Todays challenge was to add cross stitching to your card - as much as you wanted to.  Check out the challenge at 365 Cards it was fun to stitch, I've never done this before. Bazzill card stock used for the base and the black - the background was embosses with swiss dots and the cake is a pen & ink sticker by Mrs Grossmans.

Check out the challenge today at 365 Cards we had to create a card based on the sketch that was posted. I used Basic Grey Indian Summer for the paper, Bazzill Cardstock for the base and a brand new digital stamp that I received for free on Friday from Paper Popsicles.  Hope you like the card.

213 ~ In Pieces....(that's how I feel!)

Ok I am behind but here is the challenge from 365 Cards you had to use all the pieces of the image in your card:

I managed to use the image - my card is on Bazzill cardstock, I printed the image on some Basic Grey paper and used copic markers to touch it up a bit. The cat is cut from cricut PDDU and the other paper and witch body parts were from my stash...(sounds like I keep body parts lol)...Thanks for stopping by!

210 ~ Try a New Technique....Sanding

I like this technique, sanding. This is for todays challenge at 365 cards - I have one challenge left for this week  and then I'm caught up....This was a good challenge. I used Coredinations white core for the pumpkins and the tag - Bazzill is the base, and everything else from my stash.  Sanding is fun, but a bit messy...don't wear black!

207 DIY Patterned Paper

Did I say the week just kept on getting better & better.....ok this was a hard challenge - make your own patterned paper...yikes....ok I can do this...I used a piece of translucent bond stamped and colored with Smooch ~ I did use Basic Grey at the side and to cover the chipboard (hope that isn't bending the rules?) brads, owl and sentiment from my stash.  Hope we don't have many more of these DIY at 365 Cards!

Well the week just keeps going and going...the challenge at 365 Cards was to use 3 of everything...I have no idea who will get this card, it seemed like a fun idea when I started.  3 frogs, hearts & rectangles - card base is Bazzill and everything else is from my stash.  I used embossed the frogs using spots & dots and the rectangles with swiss dots.

Here is my card, front and inside.  Paper is from my stash - cute little kitty is cut from Cricut PDDU & I used some diamond glaze on him, eyes, stamp & bling are from my LSS.

Once Upon A Time...#202

365 Cards had an interesting challenge for Friday ~ take inspiration from your favorite fairy tale ~ ~ ~I kind of like Chicken Little, that would be a cute card; then I got to thinking that I'm confusing fairy tales and fables....so I ended up going with one of my favorites...Little Red Riding Hood.  I came across the picture and it reminded me of a gramma & grampa and years gone by and poppies & hearts were what came to mind!

Hmmm now I see that Saturdays challenge is already posted....could I gain a day?!....

I'm a day behind on my card for the challenge over at 365 cards the challenge on Thursday was to use a shoe, any shoe....well something I didn't have so I just downloaded some clip art and went with the baby booties.  The little tag was left blank so you could add a name, date or little message when you go to use the card.  Paper and ribbon are from making memories.

#199 SHAPE UP - Hexagon

That's exactly what I keep telling myself! Shape Up...now I hear it from the lovely gals over at 365 Cards....Hexagon is the shape that needed to be used ~ once again, I haven't used a hexagon before so giving it a shot! This is a card that looks much better in person than the scan...well at least I completed the challenge....no where does it say it has to be a fantastic card!

Lots of fun going on over at 365 Cards....the challenge today was to use just a touch of color on a black image on white paper. I went with a very small card and thought the image worked all by itself and just a touch of color and some corners! The stamp is from Stampin' Up - a few years back, the punch is from EK.

Day #195 over at 365 Cards - challenge is to use gingham as an article of clothing.....I'm thinking easier said than done - I don't have any gingham.....woohoo - check out the flip side of the Christmas paper! The stamps are from a set from Michaels - paper is all from my stash, so are the ribbon & bling - I used Tim Holtz Distress ink - walnut stain. Today is Sporty Saturday - use a ball on your card - never done that before so I needed to find a ball - went into clip art and thought I would use a golf ball - came up with this....I just coloured the images with pencils, used some basic grey paper - I think it is lime ricky - and here you have it! Anyone with a golfing DH will get my point! Thanks for looking!

Day 181 ...White Space...YIKES!

The White Space Challenge card Day # 181 over at 365 cards....well most days just to make a card is a challenge let alone a card with almost nothing on it! but once I thought about it, simple can turn out to be a great card! This is a layout that I will likely do again - simple, fast and adaptable to anything! Thanks for having a look!

Digital Stamp from Paper Popsicles

Another HAPPY BIRTHDAY - guy card.

Just thought I would add another card and envelope I like to make with the HAPPY BIRTHDAY folder - cute, fast, small and simple - I use this quite often for a guy card....don't have to write much on the inside, can use their favorite colors and it isn't girly!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY - one of my favorite folders - I tend to use this folder a lot! It is certainly one that I would recommend - don't get me wrong, I love all of my embossing folders and try not to neglect any of them!

Love Frog

Here is a non traditional card for Valentines (cuttlebug spot challenge #14) ~ background is hard to see in the post but it has been embossed using cuttlebug stripes and embossed at the bottom "with love" Frog is pop dotted from the page and embossed with spots n dots - The cuts are cricut - PDDU & PS - the eyes are from my LSS.

I might still add a cute crown to the frog!
