365 Cards has a sketch challenge each Sunday. Here is the sketch:
It is always inspirational to look at a sketch and see what you can come up with ~ sometimes, well most of the time Pams sketch is quite the challenge! A sketch can be handy to have around, especially if you need a card and are stumped as to what to do. That was the case for me today - I needed to make an Easter/Spring card for my mom ~ I had an image from Paper Popsicles but just wasn't sure how to pull it all together. Using the sketch as my guide, adding in some Basic Grey seedling paper, and some bazzill card stock, here is my take on the sketch. This card is 6 x 6.
Thanks for stopping by ~ enjoy your Sunday!

Day 27 @ 365 Cards...I'm Touched...
Ok here are the deets of this challenge - check it out for yourself at 365 cards. It was a tough one..
This is what Pam asked for:
On this card, you need to have at least 8 elements (not counting the cardstock or any background paper) and here's the challenge - all those elements must overlap with at least 2 other elements.
Well I started this card on Monday for Mondays challenge at 365 but didn't get a chance to finish it. Saturday is almost over, but I made it work for todays challenge.
The card was made from an image I downloaded. I colored this with Prismas (& mineral spirits) and I also used some Copic markers. Background paper is Basic Grey - lime rickey. Flowers were colored with copics, brads were added and the stamp is from Hero Arts, it is a new set I just purchased called 'thoughtful'
So has anyone seen Alice in Wonderland yet?...
Thanks so much for stopping by~ Have a Happy Day!

New Images @ Simple Doodles...It's So Ducky!!!!
Trish @ Simple Doodles is posting a new challenge soon (I think it will be on March 26th) and she will also be releasing some new images.
Both of these cards were made using the cute little duck!
For this card I used basic grey sugar rush along with some plain card stock - some of the pieces were embossed with swiss dots. This was all layered together and topped off with some ribbon. The image was printed off on white and coloured with copics - then I ran his back half through the swiss dots folder, then get this - I put some brown ink on my finger to give the dots some colour and the brown ink coloured the dots and left little clear circles around the dots, I thought it looked cool - this image is fun and can be used in many ways - the inside of this card reads "lucky duck"
This next card was really fun to do too - I ended up using the same image - printing it twice - one I flipped and turned into a little baby ducky. The card base is Bazzill card stock, so is the white trim. The yellow and purple are both Making Memories - for this card I didn't do anything to the digi stamps other than resize and print - how simple is that...oh at the same time I created a sentiment and printed just once! I layered the two images and stuck them down and pop dotted the little duck. I used threading water punch and added some rain dots.

Simple Doodles & 365 Cards
Here are two cards created using images from Simple Doodles. They have quite a few free images you can download for free and see how you like using digi images (hint...they don't take up any space!) . The challenge is to have some green on your card ~
The first card is a birthday card "for an old friend" ~ I used the dino image, printed him on some cosmo cricket paper - added brads and some sparkles to his spots - simple card, Bazzil for the base, cuttlebug stripes on the green and dots on the black - layered them - pop dotted the dino and this card is done!
Challenge at 365 Cards for Day 12 is to use 20 circles on your card from two different sources - one card 2 challenges!
The second card is a beautiful bouquet of 4 leaf clovers ~ Good Luck is a stamped image ~ the bouquet is from simple doodles, coloured with copic, a tiny bit of stickles and layered up with more bazzil and basic grey sugar rush, all the pieces had the edges inked to add some pop to the layers!
Well I hope this inspires you to play along in the challenges over at Simple Doodles and at 365 Cards ~ Hope to see you there.

Day 6 ~ Stamping with more than one ink color.....
Well this is the first card that I've been able to do for the new year that started March 1st at 365 Cards! They have added some new members to their DT and today is one of the new members Heidi Stock. Seems like I only have time on the weekends and not much time at that! So the challenge today is to use more than one ink colour on your stamp at the same time - no colouring allowed - no copics, pencils or whatever your usual go to colouring tool may be! So this was really a challenge for me - I'm not much of a stamper and am always so envious of what people have created with stamps!
So here is my card - It is an inchie times 2 ~ I used kraft stock as the base and for the stamped image - the stamp is from SU (no recollection of what the set is sorry) I used ColorBox Fluid Chalk ink in Dark Peony and Dark Brown for the image. I used the script embossing folder for the dark brown layer - put it together and added some organza ribbon to finish it off.
Thanks so much for stopping by & have a wonderful weekend!
